Meet Tessa Stirling, Assistant Clerk

ABOUT TESSA

After being brought up on a farm in the Scottish Borders, Tessa went to school in the Lake District before moving to Edinburgh to continue studying and working. She worked in a number of roles including as a self employed Personal Assistant, Finance Secretary (The Scotch Whisky Association), Senior Legal Secretary (Boyds Solicitors – now part of HBJ Gateley), PA to the Chief Executive (The WS Society), Executive Assistant to the Director General (National Galleries of Scotland), and she has most recently been Valuations Manager with Lyon & Turnbull in Broughton Place. This was a hugely varied role which involved building relationships with clients, business development and organisation. She also helped to structure processes for the department and assist with events and departmental planning. Alongside this, she lead the Charity Committee with selection of a charity, setting a fundraising target, planning the year’s events and encouraging involvement from colleagues. Tessa is also a Mental Health First Aider.
