Introducing Georgie Urquhart, Membership Coordinator

About Georgie 

Born and raised in Edinburgh, Georgie was educated at George Watson's College, one of the city's historic Merchant schools from 3 to 17 years of age. She went on to study at the University of Glasgow where she achieved a First Class Honours degree in Business Management. Georgie then began her career in residential property, working in home sales with Burgh Property and later Coulters Property. During her time in the industry, she was actively involved in both companies' social committees. 

A naturally sociable person who enjoys meeting new people and building lasting connections, it seemed a natural progression for Georgie to pivot into the word of event management. She joined the Royal Company of Merchants of the City of Edinburgh to pursue her passion for bringing people together and is delighted to work for an organisation with such strong links to the city in which she grew up.

Outside of work, Georgie loves to travel, notably to the South of France where her sister lives. She enjoys making the most of Edinburgh's vibrant social scene, trying new restaurants at every opportunity, and divides her time between Edinburgh and Glasgow, making the most of everything both cities have to offer.
