Historic Stewart's Melville Golf Club Medals Secured in the Company Vault

The Royal Company of Merchants has accepted three valuable and historic Stewart’s Melville FP Golf Club Medals to be held for safekeeping of behalf of the Club in the Company vault.

The medals which include The Edinburgh Institution Gold Medal 1888, The Stewart’s College F. P. Golf Club Spring Medal 1893 and The Stewart’s F. P. Golf Club Victoria Day Medal 1894, will remain in the ownership of The Golf Club but will be on display in the vault with the other Company treasures.

Tommy Bryson, immediate Past Captain of the Golf Club and Deputy Chairman of The Melville College Trust said ‘we are delighted these lovely old medals are now secure in a safe place and are very grateful to The Merchant Company for storing them on our behalf’.
