On Friday 15th May, our CEO, Guy Cartwright, had the privilege of attending a ceremonial 21-gun salute at Edinburgh Castle.
Held in honour of the Lord High Commissioner to the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland, the salute marked the formal opening of this year’s General Assembly. The ceremony, steeped in tradition, offered a powerful moment of reflection and celebration, bringing together history, civic life and national heritage in a truly unique setting.
Following the salute, Guy was invited to enjoy a behind-the-scenes tour of the Museum of the Royal Regiment of Scotland. The visit provided a fascinating glimpse into the Regiment’s history, highlighting stories of service, courage and community that continue to resonate today.
The morning concluded with a delightful lunch, offering the opportunity to reflect on the day’s events and to connect with fellow guests in a relaxed and welcoming setting.
We extend our sincere thanks to the Royal Regiment of Scotland for their warm hospitality and kind invitation.
