A Visit to HMS Queen Elizabeth

A Visit to HMS Queen Elizabeth

In March, members of the Executive Team and Court of The Royal Company of Merchants had the opportunity to go aboard HMS Queen Elizabeth, currently docked at Rosyth. The delegation included CEO Guy Cartwright, Deputy CEO Stuart Roseman, Event Sales Manager Cristina Tait, Communications Executive Megan Rough, and Court Assistant Andrew Swann.

The group was given a guided tour of the ship, offering a valuable glimpse into the scale, capability and day-to-day operations of the Royal Navy’s flagship. This was followed by a drinks reception with members of the crew. The visit marked an excellent opportunity to strengthen relationships and build on our valued affiliation with HMS Queen Elizabeth.

Lt Cdr Paddy Holmes further faciliated a trip aboard for CCF cadets from ESMS and GWC, which was hugely appreciated by both the Merchant Schools.

Feedback from School Staff Instructor/CCF at George Watson's College, Andrea Magowan:

"Just wanted to say a huge thank you for instigating the incredible visit onboard HMS Queen Elizabeth. Both staff and pupils alike were bowled over by the privilege of the invitation but in addition the effort and enthusiasm that Paddy and his team gave us on the gold plated tour."
